Why Fern?
It represents sincerity, confidence, discretion, love, and the pursuit of wisdom. Many indigenous people believe that the Fern represents new life and new beginnings. In Japan, the fern exemplifies family and hope for the future future. From the Victorian era, the fern embodies trustworthiness and humility. All ferns are robust, protected plants, and in medieval times, dried ferns were often hung in homes because it was believed that they would protect the dwelling. During this time, they were also planted to dispel negativity.
