Melinda "Mindy" Porter is a provisional clinical social worker originally from Florida who recently made Wyoming home. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida in 2017, after completing her Bachelor of Social Work there in 2015 with Magna Cum Laude honors, and previously received her Associate of Arts degree from Daytona State College in 2013.

Mindy has experience working as a clinical and medical social worker in healthcare settings, including the emergency department, inpatient assessment and discharge planning, cardiac care outreach, and community care services for low-income and unhoused patients. Her background includes crisis intervention, continuity of care planning, care management across multiple levels of service, resource coordination, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and community agencies.

She is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate difficult seasons with support, compassion, and practical guidance. Mindy brings a strong foundation in case management, community outreach, and whole-person care, along with continuing education through the American Case Management Association COMPASS program.

She has developed into a skilled counselor, gaining valuable experience in working with couples, families, children, and individuals. She has successfully assisted clients dealing with a wide range of behavioral health concerns, trauma, vocational challenges, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and self-esteem issues. Additionally, she offers Christian-based counseling upon request.
