Neisha Potter is a happily married mother of four children with extraordinary compassion. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and Florida, with well-rounded professional experience in mental health. She is the owner and mental health provider of the private practice, Fern Ridge Counseling, LLC, which won the 2019 Best of Cody for Mental Health Services.
She achieved her Master’s Degree in Social Work and accomplished a double major with her Bachelors of Arts and Sciences degree, in both Psychology and Christian Ministry. She volunteers her time as a writer and professional contributor on mental health for Clash Daily and the Cody Living Magazine. Using clinically tested and evidenced-based interventions, she treats clients with depression, anxiety, sexual abuse and trauma, relationship and marital counseling, children and adolescents, family, insomnia, anger management, personality disorders, low self-esteem, self-loathing, and grief and bereavement. The helping profession is exactly where she is meant to be, meeting people right where they are with a nonjudgmental, empowering, and personalized approach. Experience and Specialized Training: Mrs. Potter is Certified in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), Certified in Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), Certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Certified Substance Use Provider, trained in Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Conduct Disorders, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, and Gottman Specialist Level 2 Certified. She has been trained in Cognitive behavioral therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Internal family systems (IFS), Family Systems Model (FST), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET), Solution focused therapy (SFT), Psychological assessments, Advanced Dementia, Geriatrics, Death & Dying, Personality Disorders, Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Certification (ASIST).
