Demetria Bales is a Provisional Clinical Social Worker who graduated from Walden University with a master's degree in social work and achieved a bachelor's degree in human services. She believes in person-centered counseling and meeting clients with a nonjudgmental approach to achieving their goals. Her approach allows the client to be the expert in their life while providing support and objective insight to promote healing and personal growth.
She provides individual therapy to all ages, family therapy, and marriage counseling. She treats relationship issues, depression, anxiety, self-confidence and self-esteem, trauma, stress, eating disorders, personality disorders, addiction, behavioral and emotional disorders.
She is certified with the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) to provide equine therapy and trained in various therapeutic modalities to include Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Emotionally focused therapy (EMF), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and Solution focused therapy (SFT).
Originally from the coast of Oregon, she has lived in Cody for the past seven years. She loves spending time outdoors, riding horses, playing with her dogs, and quality time with her daughter.
